For the ST300 guys

How well do you rate this tool.

I'm looking to pick up another Leatherman multitool to put in my B.O.K kit that rides with me on the 4wheeler and the Sled.
Weight is not a problem at all... I do end up doing a few trail side repairs every year, mostly reconnecting wires after one to many jumps. So it mostly plier work, that the tool will see.

Or should I a get a Surge.

what do you guys think

using the pliers and wire cutters a lot? ST300 is your tool hands down :tu:

If one hand opening blades arent important then get a st300. Its lighter,not much, I think the st gets smoother with use more so than the surge. And on the st you have a saw and file at the same time. The wire cutters are better, no scissors though. :multi:

I like the ST 300 better so that would be my recommendation. If you like the 300 plier head but want a Surge you might wait abit as I spotted a Surge with the 300 plier head on ebay a few weeks back. So maybe they`ll be out before long.

What I like about the ST 300 over the SURGE is that the Philips and flathead screwdriver is very long and have lot more reach than the SURGE with it’s bits driver, probably a thing to think about if it’s going to follow you on a 4 wheeler and you need to do some emergency repair.
There is no problem that cannot be solved by the use of high explosives.

Yeah, what everybody else said. If the knife is the #1 priority, go Surge, if not, go 300!

The ST300 is a great tool.  For repairing stuff on a 4 wheeler or sled, a pair of locking pliers might come in handy also.

The 300 is my EDC I love it and it hasn't failed me yet :cheers: Good all arounder :tu: Especially for heavy duty tasks :D

Yes it is :D and with the bit adapter and bits in the sheath it covers a whole lot more bases as well :tu:
