No this seller understands advertising.I don't even know what a recoil buffer is, and yet I want one
Great buffers, both of them, have you scene the new Ruger SR-22 that looks like a AR-15,with the 10-22 housing. http://www.gunblast.com/Ruger-SR22.htm
I don't have a 10/22, my .22 is a Marlin 880. A friend has one though, and he bought a kit to make it look kinda sorta like an MG42. I've seen them for sale online in several places. I've thought about getting a 10/22 several times, but honestly, they're too new for my taste in firearms. EDIT: Here's a pic of what he has.(Image removed from quote.)
Too new? They debut in 1964 the same year I did:)So does that mean I am too new also.My wife would argue that
Recoil buffers are nice. Instead of the bolt hitting the steel bolt stop pin, it hits this. Makes things a little quieter too. As for upgrades. If I were to do it all over again, I'd do the cosmetic stuff dead last if at all. In my opinion, the first thing (in addition to the recoil buffer) is a trigger tune kit - trigger, sear, and hammer. Maybe new firing pin and extractor claw. Next would be to choose a sighting system to suite your particular needs, stock open sights, a Williams Aperture sight, or scope, laser, etc. Then I might add sling mounts. Barrel and stock change after that if you even felt like it, because you just might like the stock barrel and stock. Then I'd fool around with different kinds of ammunition from the different manufacturers to see how I like them. Or, you might just leave it alone and use it for awhile until you figure out how you like it. You might find that it's a great little rifle out of the box.My very humble opinion.Mike
