I don't care much for the "cheap" quality of most so-called horror films. :-\ My favorite scary type movie of all time is Silence of the Lambs :)

What's really frustrating me ATM is that I have a friend who is very into horrors and he promised to lend me a film that, apparently, I wouldn't want to watch on my own.  Good and frightening stuff so I believe.  The annoying part is that I have no idea what it's called or what it's about. >:( ::)

I'm intrigued.  :)

I'll send him a e-mail. :)

OK apparently the thing to see is a short film called Oculus: Chapter 3.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0791134/

Watch the trailer, it looks like it could be suitably creepy. :tu:

I love a good horror film although I'm not a big fan of slasher movies. Here's one I like... Jacob's Ladder

My favorite too.  When Clarice is visiting Hannibal for the first time and she's coming around the corner to his cell and he's already standing up, waiting for her and staring............"Good Morning".....Chilling......It was hard to go to sleep that night.

Here in Italy, that movie is often mentioned as one of the worst in the world...
In Nanni Moretti's "caro diario" the main character, after watching the movie, goes to the newspaper critic, and reads to him the positive review, while the critic itself cries desperate and ashamed. :D

How about David Lynch films like Eraserhead and Mulholland Drive?  David Lynch films are always scary in a "mess with your head, what the heck is that?!?!" way.
This is called a Swiss Army Knife. Do you know what Switzerland is? Switzerland is a place where they don't like to fight, so they get people to do their fighting for them while they ski and eat chocolate. - Larry David
