I noticed it has been a year today since I joined MTO. As a self confessed romantic fool, I like marking anniversaries and occasions; having the opportunity to celebrate the inevitable passing of time with happy nostalgia instead of regret. So here it is.

It has been a diverse and interesting 12 months for me personally and I'm glad I had somewhere to share these life events. You lot are also a mixed bunch. Like a fruit bowl, there are lovely juicy ripe things, sharp crispy things, some really sweet things and the odd rotten apple ;)

I have gathered a lot of lovely tools I shouldn't have, learnt to make my own, managed to justify purchases that were just plain indulgent but most of all, I have made some real friends. I feel at home here and I genuinely enjoy the company of our members. I have had a lot of my faith in mankind broken over the years and it has been wonderful to regain some of that trust through the actions I have witnessed here.

So thanks to all you apples, peaches and plums for a fun year and for making MTO the best place on the interwebs :cheers:

Has it been a year already?  I agree completely about the folks here, it's just the friendliest forum I've ever heard of.  Frankly the fact that people sometimes talk about tools is just an added bonus IMO.  :D
