pop out of their resting positions when the "Lock" slides are activated?  It is not documented on the packaging (nothing is), and I found the feature quite by accident.  And there is a little lanyard ring tucked down in beside the flat blade drivers, but it takes another tool to get it out.

I believe that's intentional. It's the only way you're going to get the damned silly, stubby things out anyway :D
I used to come here a lot.

Tell me about it LOL, I could not even tell there were tools in there.  Like I said earlier, absolutely no user guide/diagram came with the tool, and it was BNIB, (plastic clamshell) you know the kind where ANOTHER tool is needed to open it w/o cutting one's self up. Anyway, it's fun to find these little Easter Eggs in multi-tools, seeing as there aren't that many.

I totally agree!

I actually quite like the Flik and would use it much more often if the drivers were a bit less pointless!

I thought it was a documented function in the manual.

Put it this way I don't have one (because my kids toys have better drivers) but I knew about that feature.
I'm back!!

Documented?  Maybe, maybe not, but I know it was intended.

  • Armed with camera and not afraid to use it.
It had to be designed that way, otherwise there would be no way to get them out.
A little Leatherman information.

The locks do the same thing on the Strata as well. Handy for people like me who bite their nails.  Simply pull back on the lock and the drivers come up just enough to pull out.
