File Branding

I have an old Gerber with the all-metal push button releases, the non-locking tools. And I was looking it over last night and spotted a brand stamp on the file-blade near the hinge. It said "Simonds", I recognized the name from some hand files I have in my shop. Just thought you guys would find this tid-bit interesting.

I recognized the name-Simonds, and thought it was interesting that Gerber would have actually subcontracted the file blades out, and allowed the brand name to stay. Maybe it was a selling point.
