I'm curious, how do all you guys carry your loose change?

I ask as I have been tempted to get a new wallet and it seems a rarity to find a nice one with a change compartment. So maybe I need a different method myself.

A small leather, zipped pouch which is easy to get coins out of in a hurry.

It's about 3 x 2" I think. Ebay purchase :)

Mine is a faux leather with a Canadian maple leaf about 2 x 3
with a spring metal closure that you squeeze together.

Got it years ago when I visited Canada for work.  :tu:

I have been carrying my spare change in one of these leather type coin carriers for a while now and have had nothing but good results with it.

I keep mine in pocket but dump them as soon as I get home. After I have enough I make a run to store with them.

This ingenious little pocket I found. For some reason, they include them on pants, and call them change pockets.... Who would have thunk it...?

Just front left pocket for me.  While nobody bats an eyelid at my messenger bag around here, a bloke with a coin purse would just get laughed at all the way home. :-\

I've got a zip pocket in my wallet.  Half the time it jut goes in one of my pockets though.  Gets emptied out when it gets home.

Change is much simpler here in New Zealand - 10, 20 and 50 cents.  $1 and $2 coins.  No more messing round with 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, £1, £2.

LOL, I actually wrote "a bloke with a purse is likely to get a good kicking" originally, but I thought it might sound a bit extreme.  :D

+1.  I've been using one of these for about 10 years, and it's been great.  It keeps the change nice and quiet in your pocket, and holds more coins than the rubber squeeze-type holders.  If you get one of these, try to be sure that it's a soft, oiled leather though.  My first one was was made of a hard, drier leather and it only lasted a couple of years.

I was always under the impression that the US was considered the uncivilized nation. But apparently there are more men across the pond who react violently to things that make them question their own sexuality. Shame they are so close to the tipping point that a man with coins in a pouch would force them to assert their pseudo masculinity by attacking the "offender".

Of course, in the neighborhoods I have lived in, you are likely to be shot for simply opening your mouth toward a stranger. And I have always been personally inclined to leave others as I prefer to be left... alone.

That said, in cases where any man has decided that I might be a good candidate upon which to vent their pent up and repressed homosexual rage, I will be happy to offer them a sound ass kicking or a knife to the gut. They can choose which one they'd prefer.

Barring that, one can usually avoid violence entirely by being smart and walking away. But more often than not, when I have directly confronted anyone who was purposefully f*cking with me as if they wanted a fight, I have always been met by protest, excuses, apologies, and "tail between the legs" syndrome.

Funny how that works. Watching them shrink is so rewarding.

Not really for on your person but as I drive a lot for work I got one of these. They are designed for taxi drivers and take all coins except 1p 2p and 5p's.

All change goes in there, the 5p's I keep elsewhere in the car for parking fees and the coppers are just built up :D
