The Shocknife SK-2 (patented) is an ingenuous balance between safety and performance. The composite blade is incapable of cutting. It delivers a localized shock that causes pain, but not serious injury or incapacitation. The SK-2 has four voltage settings. At its highest setting the SK-2 delivers up to 7,500 volts and less than 1 milliamp. The Shock Activator switch allows the user to control when the shock is delivered.

I have one of those electric flykill thingies. Those hurts like hell as well, you can have a lot of fun with those so the knife will do fine as well I guess

Back to the point... What is this for? is this like knifey-spooney, but with the added fun of spasms and burns?

It is just to kill flies, push a button and hit them. There is a electric current running through the wires so just touching the fly will kill it. It works like playing tennis, only with a deadly ending

As far as I figure it, the knife is for training knife fights. Much of the pain of getting cut, with no mess to clean up later

Anyway, in all their photos, the duelling buddies are all wearing gloves and longsleeve clothes - I don't really know how much power a 9v battery has, but I'd have thought it'd need direct contact to cause a shock.

it is indeed intended as a training tool without the mess, but still having a good motivation factor
