well my wife and i had a long hard talk and looked at our options. we have listed our house in an effort to pay off debt. no i havent lost my job, i'm just sick of paying out the butt on credit cards when i can pay them off and get into a different house. fingers crossed for a quick sale!

we rent tony, long story , but we had to have students for 4 years, £90 a week was a big help, although some was a pain, some was nice , especially swiss blonds bearing gifts of vic stuff

I'm not certain it's a last ditch effort- it can be, but I can see the benefit of downsizing or relocating, especially if it's going to happen anyway with financial difficulties. Even if you keep the house, and can manage it, the stress can take more out of you than a move can. There are lots of situations where selling your house and moving is either a good idea, or the best idea available to you.
