I've been using Nalgenes for the last 10 or so years. Misses just got me a steel bottle for my birthday(dec '09) by steelworks, a divison of Sigg. Custom skinned with pics of my favorite things so its what I carry now albiet I still perfer my Nalgenes...
In my purse I carry a aluminum straw that I got at a 7-11 for .99 cents on close out along with a snow peak spork, brunton folding spork and a pair of vargo collapseable chopsticks.

I'm pretty sure there were some from the same line that had sports caps instead of the one I got.  I just tend not to use sports caps so I wasn't looking that hard.  I'd need to dig out my Sigg bottle but I have a feeling the threads on this and the Sigg are the same.

I didn't update this.  Sorry to say they are not quite the same size, so no swapping of lids/caps.  I still don't think there is much to choose in terms of materials and quality, though time may prove me wrong.  Also worth noting that while we tend to think of Sigg bottles as being the benchmark for this type of bottle, they are in fact still not that much more expensive than the 'no-name' bottles so it still might be worth investing a couple of extra quid.
