G'day from Sydney Australia
on: April 06, 2010, 07:02:02 AM
Hi all, names Dave.

Stumbled across the site looking for some gadgets online and was instantly at home. Nice to see I'm not the only one who buys knives and MT's not only cause they are useful but also because they are desirable.

Anyway, here's my collection, ranging from EDC stuff I use at work, things I carry as a volunteer firefighter who occasionally gets called to car accidents, camping gear and first aid kit stuff and silly stuff I got as a kid and can't get rid of.

Think most of you will be able to spot what I have, ask if there are any questions though. I forgot to include another benchmade rescue hook and I've got a Mil-tac SRK-2 on order-can't wait.

Well at least we know you are safe in the event of an accident!

I see a S&W First Response, Gerber Hinderer, BM Rescue Hook, Boker Cop Tool, Triple 8 Rescue Tool.... but no Victorinox Rescue Tool- for shame!   :pok:

Thanks.

Yeah that Charge has pretty much been worn 5 days a week in that sheath for about 4 years now. I've actually worn two big holes in the bottom of it that I'm going to have to keep an eye on 'cause when they join up the hole will be big enough to have to worry about the tool falling out so it will be new sheath time. Till then its giving good service though.

Welcome to the forums.

You need a firePlier.  I got one for a firefighter friend, and he can't say enough about the tool.
A little Leatherman information.

Thanks mate,

I have come across the firePlier in my searches for goodies. Unfortunately we have different hydrant infrastructure over here and all our fittings and vehicles are metric so, much as I would like one, I'm afraid I would have very little call to use it.
