As the subject line reads, I would like to give a blanket apology for all the people I have either offended or angered in my time here on MT.O.
After receiving a second message yet from our beloved moderators I have learned of some... displeasure that members have had towards my postings.

I would like to say in all seriousness that I am not serious. I do not mean to offended or insult, most of what I say is in jest.

So give it to me straight, what's the feedback here?

After frequenting many forums over the past 11 years, this is one of very few that I visit anymore. The mods here do a superb job of keeping things under control. There are things that occur here that simply would NOT be allowed on other forums, due to ignorance,abuse,excess, etc. etc.
This post is NOT directed at the OP or any one in particular. Simply a outsider observation. It's a great forum, I'll treat it it with the respect it deserves.

I too find myself here more often, partly because I'm a tool nut, but also the atmosphere is always friendly, positive, and full of that dry British humor we yanks admire.   

To the moderators, thanks for not letting this forum degenerate into a waste of my time.

To Mr. Frog, see above.  I've yet to be startled or offended by your or anyone's post here.  I know it's a fine line, but up to a point, let's all just get along and not take things so seriously.

Froggie I can see how our Philippine members might be a bit ticked off with you, you came across a bit heartless during the Philippine flooding tragedy & I am not sure if you clarified your self very well. I am not a 100% sure if this is the case or not though.I can not speak for the members from the Philippines.


Froggie I do enjoy your posts as they are some what off beat , maybe even unhinged  but largely funny & enjoyable. I guess if you miss the target maybe you need to be aware that people may take offense  :think.

I've since learned my lesson and I generally swerve away from threads of compassion. It's hard for me to find the words, much easier for me to just poke fun at people.

So apologies to the sufferers out there, my head is filled with lead and my lips heavy with poison though my heart is still pink and fleshy.

But Offended?? They're just words you know. And if an opinion is backed up by a good argument, why not say it? And let somebody with a better argument comment on yours. And if someone opinion totally not makes sence like saying racism is a good thing and stuff like that, just explain way they are wrong or ignore but just saying I'm offended and let your emotions take  over control seems a bit the easy way out of an discussion.

Anyway, I guess if everybody always tries to be polite and never take life to serious, everything will be just fine   And it seems to me that everybody does a great job doing that. You guys and girls are great    Group huge, anyone?

As I generally speak my mind (read as "spew forth an unintelligable stream of fruitless goop") I kind of suspect it anytime I open my mouth or fing my fingers.
But I hoped by now people would just kind of ignore me as the forum clown by now.

Speaking as a fellow member and not as a mod I do get a good chuckle from many of your posts Frog. Your brain clearly operates on a different frequency than most folks. One only has to check out your recent avatar choices to see evidence of that!

But I do admit to having several times winced when reading one of your typical wacky replies in a thread that has more serious subject matter. I know you are just being you, but in those instances folks just aren't ready for that sort of humor. In those cases I'm sure it isn't your intention to be insensitive, but.......sometimes it is taken that way.

Without the right smiley at the right time posts can be misconstrued. We lose body language, tone of voice and the other gestures we use in the 'offline world'

I'll echo what Bob has said.  I don't think you mean to be offensive but sometimes your posts do come across that way.  I personally have never been offended by what you've posted, but I can see why others might.

I wouldn't say its a big problem though mate, not for me certainly.
