The one thing you'd have to worry about, if you did that, though, is that keeping the tools partially deployed is incredibly bad for the backsprings - the only time I ever splay tools is for pictures, and that'll last maybe a minute or two at a time. :/

They used to crop up on ebay from time to time, but those days are gone :cry:
Give in, buy several Farmer's!!!!!!

Only the older Wengers have been shown to have issues with being left splayed.  I'm not aware of anyone having problems with Vics even after being left like that for years. ... Your mileage may vary ;)

I'd love one of those glass cabinets  :drool:
