So mine must be rare in the US.(Image removed from quote.)  This has me thinking.  ??? Am I better off keeping my xti original mint or should I mod it to something somewhat rarer?   HMMMMM  :D
Since yours has the discontinued oldstyle blades with the outside nailnick, I wouldn't do anything to it if I was you..  8)

Well it has taken Leatherman Denmark almost a month to answer my query. They told me they do not sell internationally, but gave me one of their largest sellers. I just fired off an email. I sincerely hope they are willing to sell me several of their models. I have at least some hope for the moment.

Frankly, I cannot believe how difficult it is to get these 2HO Leathermans.

I sincerely hope they'll throw in a massive discount, 'cause the retail price here is horrible.. :P
Luckily I got most of mine "second" hand in unused cond. and some at closeout sales.
I got this "one of a kind" 2HO SLV on the way atm..  8)

Finally the long search is over.  :2tu:

2HO Charge AL.

2HO Charge ALX.

2HO Charge TTi.

2HO Wave.

And last but not least…

2HO 25th Anniversary Wave.

I even received a few extras in the shipment.

This concludes a very long and twisty journey. I am stoked that I can finally add a few of these 2HO models to my collection.

Nice haul Dan..  :)
I must say that if they didn't offer any discounts, I'm surprised you took both the AL & ALX with the horrible prices we have here..

Why are you surprised? If they had more models, I would have got them all if I could. The difficulty I had in procuring these…I wasn’t about to leave a model behind if I could help it.

I didn't get the silver charge though...that was a bit steep compared to the NA prices.  :D

I contacted the danish distributor and they told me that they will introduce both the Wingman and the
Sidekick as 2HO here in Denmark early 2012.. :)
A lot more exiting news is that they're waiting for a prototype of a 2HO MUT.  8)

Wow, I didn't even know they made these.  I'd love to get my hands on one just for the sake of having something a little off the beaten path.  I wonder if there's any way I could talk them into selling me one straight from the factory (I do live in Portland...)

Forgive my ignorance, but why are 2HO tools necessary, and what qualities make them 2HO?

Two hand opening tools are made for the Denmark Market from what I understand. I suppose one hand opening tools are not alowed. Correct me if im wrong.  Note the nail nicks on the blades instead of holes for one hand opening. AHB can shed more light on the subject than I. I can tell you that they are hard to find in the states. Good luck. :)

You're absolutely right stack.. :tu:

I posted this Google translation from the danish Leatherman website earlier:
" Because of the tough laws we have developed unique Leatherman knives to the Danish market. Here's razor blade completely seamless, so you must use two hands to open the blade. The legal course knives are available in all the official Danish Leatherman dealers - and only from them!
This also means that one should refrain from buying Leatherman eg via foreign websites, or on holidays abroad.
You can find your nearest dealer here Danish Leatherman Find your dealer.
Police confiscate illegal knives and you risk fines and prison
The penalty is severe, if you break Arms Act. If you discovered a public place with an illegal knife, it will be confiscated by the police, and you get a fine of 5,000 kroner ($900) if it happens again, you go directly to jail."

And the distributor added this:
"NOTE:
One-hand knives and tools, which should come into the workshop, sent to the police because they are illegal in Denmark. The police then decide what action to take."

This "spare" Org. 2HO Wave arrived yesterday, so here's a little bump to this thread..  :D
As said before these are very hard to come by these days, so unpacking it and see it was completely unused was better than christmas..  8) 8)

Yep, same liner locks as the regular 1HO models, but with blades made special. (and in the case of the newest New Waves, handles made special too)  :)

Fantastic find there Allan! It will be fun seeing what you can get in trade for it :D

I'm glad LM makes the effort to support markets where OHO isn't allowed, but I'm just not a fan of the way these look.

I don't know, the lines just look...off
