Romisen RC-G2 Q5 11 WC Tint 1 AA
on: April 17, 2010, 06:14:08 PM
Just got it today. It is a Shiningbeam model with the Q5 11 WC Tint. The light is a very pale blue/gray color on the aluminum body which I really like. The beam has a very nice spot with a vey large spill beam. It is water resistant from the quick Led Museum suction test I gave it thanks to Craig for this tip! It is twice as bright as the Dorcy 45 lumen model. Shiningbeam stated 120 lumens & I agree its definately around there. The beam had no dark rings or artifacts I could see. I guess thats due to the orange peel reflector. A nice nylon wrist strap is included. I think you could EDC this light but it is a little bulky but, not heavy. It is around 4.25 inches long. Thats about it... I like this light! I forgot to add that its a clicky & will not tail stand. The beam has no blue tint that some dislike just pure white light.

Yes it is Mike! At around 23.00 bucks shipped its a good deal considering the nice white beam & sturdy aluminum body. I forgot to say that its a forward clicky so, a lite press for momentary on release & its off. I am very happy with this Torch. Shipping was very fast as three days later I had the Torch in my mailbox.

That's a good looking light mate, especially for the money. :tu:

Thanks Gareth! I will go into a totally dark Missouri basement tonight & give more opinions plus some outside use on a dark night. No city lights out here in the sticks...hehheh.

This Torch is great with the spot & large spill..!! I could see everything in a pitch black basement including the steps. Outside it was awesome to navigate to the TV antenna & adjust it for better reception. I am very leery of Copperhead snakes here in Missouri & this puppy lighted the way with ease!!! The downside is only 1 hour runtime but, I am not going to use it unless I need it outdoors at night.

I can't think of many better reasons for wanting to know where you are stepping in the dark. :o  Sounds like a good light mate.

Yep, its a fantastic bright light but, it will not be replacing my EDC favorites. The Arc AAA, Infinity Ultra & the Fenix E01. These 3 cannot be beat IMHO.
