Gerber 800 Legend locks

I don't own one of these so I have to ask- What other(if any) tool by gerber shares the same lock as the 800?

And I mean SAME LOCK, like the tools would have the same indents if you took them apart and compared.  If I get the answers I am hoping for then I need to crack open my bank account and DRAIN IT:D

After taking a quick glance, it would at first glance, appear that Gerber has standardized their folding tools in regards to the locking mechanism, be it an MP400, 600, right down to the Suspension style series. The indent looks the same for all tools. With that being said, I have no way of truly comparing them to see what works or what doesn't as I have no interest in modification. So you might want to hear from someone who is more knowledgeable on the matter at hand.

Would you say the Remgrit saw lock on the proscout is the same on the 800?  There aren't that many models that have that saw so I'm curious if they would design different locks for it.

Without taking them apart and actually trying them, I'd say they are the same.

So would this lock be the same as the Ripstop and Suspension? The actual lock release is virtually the same as the legend from the outside...

I don't even think that would make a difference. The lock mechanism on the butterflies may look different on the outside from those of the Multiplier line, but internally, I bet it works the same. Mind you, I having not taken apart any of these, can't say with 100% certainty. What I do know are the tools and their locking indents appear to be the same right across the board in how they would interact with any locking plate.

With that being said, it would be possible to stuff parts from a diesel, suspension, and MP600 into a Legend?

I was able to exchange two flat screwdrivers (the Phillips being one of them) from my Diesel for a decent Phillips from a MP600.  I wouldn't hesitate trying it on my 800 Legend, like trading the scissors for something else that fits width wise in that spot.
