Spyderco Caly 3 or Sage?

If you were gonna get a new Spyderco and you could only choose between a Caly 3 or a Sage and price didn't matter, which one would you choose and why?

I like the look of the Sage better.

Fuller handle with the finger choil right after the pivot. 

Even though I am not crazy about WIRE belt clips (just don't like the look).

Sage II if it were me

I don't like metal handles so sage II is out. Sage is more of a general purpose compare to caly, which has a much thinner edge if I recall and geared toward cutting performance. The handle on caly 3 is also narrower so more suited for smaller hand.

Plus the CF/ZDP caly 3 is so cheap right now it probably would be discontinued by next year (regular caly 3 is already discontinued).

I am not crazy about WIRE belt clips (just don't like the look).

I don't like wire clips either but of the two, I would go for the CF Caly 3.  I'm dying to try that ZDP steel...

The Caly III is a classic , the wire clip is very functional . The Caly has superb hand feel /ergos . I haven't handled the Sage much, so no comment . You probably won't go wrong with either .

IF I get one, I'm leaning toward the Caly.  I love that blade shape.  And the whole knife just looks...elegant.  But the Sage looks a little more robust.  I don't know, this one will be a long way off, but I'm looking for opinions now.

The Caly cuts like a laser , I can't see the Sage being as good a slicer . My gut instinct would be to go with the Caly .

The Caly is a great knife...just a tad small for me, that and I'm not the biggest fan of lockbacks.  I prefer liner locks and frame locks.  Are you leaning toward the VG10/G10 Caly, or the ZDP/CF Caly?

I think I'd like the VG10/G10....I really like that steel in the Dragonfly and I love the G10 scales.  If I can find one.
