Where Do You Buy Your Torches From?
on: May 07, 2010, 09:32:31 PM
I have bought my torches from Amazon, Shiningbeam, Dorcy Direct & 4Sevens with excellent results. Please include sites to avoid buying from. This info should help others where to by from & whom to avoid at all costs. Pirates are out there!

4Sevens is top notch.  I also have ordered from these with good results:

Lighthound
BugOutGearUSA

I've purchased most of my lights in used condition on CPFMarketplace, and have never had a bad experience.

Ebay, amazon or personal online store. As I can compare the prices.

I got my maglite upgrades from them a few years back and with good results, I don't remember the shipping being at all silly to the UK

Got my Eagletac form Flashaholics with no problems either.

Another UK member here, I've purchased lights from both flashaholics.co.uk and thephotonshop.co.uk with no problems.

I've also used the CPF maketplace a bit. DX for mod parts, but be warned they can be a pain to deal with if you get a duff one or the wrong one sent.

Last but not least, lummi.co.uk  I'm a fan of Rob's little wonders. He's had a few issues with parts and is working on a backlog of orders, so if you plan to buy from him, either email or phone to check he's got everything you want in stock first.

I bought several used lights from their prior owners on the CPF Marketplace forum.

Most new Inova X series lights were purchased from local Target stores, but Target's selection has dwindled lately.   Other lights were obtained from a Fry's Electronics store and web dealers like Battery Junction and Optics HQ.  The latter is a good source for Surefire lights.

I've also bought directly from manufacturers such as Peak LED Solutions.
