I have this niggling feeling at the back of mind that I may have done something with it (not got rid, but though it would be useful here or there)

Well I've got a cracking head ache and it too bloody warm for my liking 

So the extent of my preparation so far is chiselling some concrete bird crap off the car's windscreen. 

I'll do packing when it cools off this evening.

The van is all mostly packed now...just a few things left to do. Just having a little "write the directions down" break...so we don't gleefully jump in the van tomorrow, drive to the bottom of the road and look blankly at each other 

Just noticed that we're spitting distance from the Rollright stone circle. Haven't been there since I was a teenager. I'm hoping that we can get out early and then have a little wander to the Stones while we wait for you all to arrive.

It's days like today that I am so thankful that I left my last job.  Delivering white goods in this heat was not fun.  Mind you, getting beaten up and restraining kids in this heat ain't much fun either.
