Forgive me is this is a stupid question but I'm curious:
On the Vic OH models and the Spydie Slippies, how is the deployment speed?  You know how with the spydie lock backs and liner locks you can open them wicked fast?  Or do a spydie drop to open them?  Can they open that fast?  I'm thinking with the backspring that they wouldn't open quite as fast...am I wrong?

With OHT you can drop or thumb it open just like any other. There's more resistance, but not enough to slow down open speed, although the heavy handle on OHT means you need to grip the blade tighter when drop open or it'll go flying.

You can't flick them open with your thumb like you can the Spydies.  The slippies are quickish to open, but fast tactical knives they ain't.

Even the UKPK is difficult to "fast" open due to the backspring. Liner locks are the quickest I've found :)
I used to come here a lot.

That's my general opinion as well.  You'll get to see an Emerson tomorrow Dave.  I'll be keen to see what you think about the Wave feature.
I'm back!!

If you are talking OH opening for utility pourposes , the speed of the OH Vics is fine . I find the UKPK to be slower , neither is as quick as a well worked in "Tactical " . My OH Vics. (Rescue Tool , OH Soldier , and GAK ) have supplanted my "Tacticals" for daily use .
