I'm an American, and therefore no expert on English, but I could understand you post just fine.   And I'm sure it's better than my French  ;).

Welcome!

I think a Victorinox Farmer should be on your short list.

Bonjour Johnny, bienvenue à Multitool.org!

SOG multitools are excellent because you can easily change or replace the tool component anytime and the plier head has compound leverage.

Yes, you can buy different tool components to add to a PowerAssist.  The best part is that all the components will fit SOG's PowerLock, PowerAssist and Power Plier multitools.  They are all compatible.

Here's a list of available tool components from SOG's website:
http://www.sogknives.com/store/components.html

It's not possible to add a clip to a SOG multitool unless you permanent modify the tool but you can carry the multitool in a nylon pouch which has a pocket clip.

yes the clip is a optional extra around £6 with a lanyard hoop, personally for a EDC MT i carry a old leatherman pst as light and not too big, a wave is illegal here in the uk to carry as has locking tools  :-\ but i generally carry my MT's in my bag so i dont mind the bigger tools like the ST300 and the swisstool, and the wave is ok with a clip if you trousers are not too baggy so it cant swing about  :D

the types of work a go to do with the multitool is on 75% knife use...so i need the blade are quicly open (i don't want to open the tool to have acces on the blade) ans also i need a good blade (on a good steel) ;20% a nedd for the "pince" (sorry but i don't no the word to explain "pince"..a little picture a more easy http://jroger.nuxit.net/berliweb/trucs_soluces/pince_coupante_securisee_m.jpg ) i'm farmer and i need to manipulate and cup "barbed wire" and
"Wire netting"  :) and the next 5% if a need a tool for a not spécial situation...that for i don't need a multitool whith 50 tools....i prefer to have a simple tool whith 5 or 10 good tool and a good blade... :D

i just see the gerber multitool are really not expensive...it is a good quality ?? because a go to use the multitool  every day,so i need a good matérial  ;)
and also a clip on the shealt are really really great for me...to quicly drop and take  ;)

thank's  ;)

EDIT:sorry...but i forget  :-[ a systeme to block the tool on position open are nice also, because i don't want to cup my finger's  :)

A Skeletool or the CX model with 154CM blade and a bit kit might fit your needs, the only thing about the "pince" or the wire cutters from what I understood might be a little on the lightweight side, but capable nevertheless. Try to handle a Skeletool to see its size in person.

but this subject of conversation are not really based on multitool  :D but interesting conversation  :)

Ici, c'est normale - pas de probleme johnny21! ;)

From your description, I think the Leatherman Wave would be a good choice for you. The knife can be opened quickly and with one hand and the tool can be pocket clipped (I carry a Leatherman Charge with a pocket clip and do not find it too big or heavy).

If you prefer better steel on the knife, then the Leatherman Charge AL is a "premium" version of the Wave, with 154CM steel - but the blade steel on the Wave is very effective and good, for a lot less money than the Charge!

$135 is very expensive for a Wave. I'm sure one of our American friends may be able to help you buy one for less if you want one.

I used to come here a lot.
