Yep. Another ship only to the US place.

I have noticed most of the great items/deals are US only.
A little Leatherman information.

FWIW for those interested, it's a SwissFlame, not a CampFlame. You can see the back of the hook in the pic.

Nice :)

You know that SwissFlame have 3 possible conditions:
Working / Not working / Unknown if working

If you ask me don't check if it works. because if it doesn't it will upset you and you will end up selling it.
I got like new SwissFlame with box and never check if it actually works - I belive it does  :P

Depends on condition of the knife.  If it's clearly worn, it's gonna get used.  >:D

I've been able to rehab a coupla butane lighters.  Most of the time, if nothing has broken in it, it's a matter of cleaning the jet.

They're pretty simple really.  Just a pressurized container, jet and ignition source.  Not that much to go wrong, if nothing is broken off.

We'll be reminding you that you said that :P  These are "special".  They can arrive untouched since Switzerland not working ::)

Way to many tales.  Why do you think Vic. stopped selling them so quickly :)  OK, that and the fact they weren't allowed to import them into the US, their primary market.

By the way I have two Camp Flames for sale and an XXLT up for grabs if anyone wants to do some lighter testing :tu:

I make a point of not testing them (see ninjaz post)  As they were all for collection rather than use it made sense to keep them in that Schrödinger state :D

How much are they worth (approximately)? I mean do they have the same cache as a scientist, or a Mauser, or perfect condition 1961 red soldier? I've seen a few on ebay and never taken much notice.

They should be easier to get in Germany as they were available there but not in the US.  on ebay.com you're looking at $100 plus.

...I'll keep a look out for others on the forum (23euros last week), they don't really interest me. Though I work as a waiter in a beergarden, and am always being asked if I have a light, many of my customers are swiss, it might be impressive if I pull out a crazy swiss flame to light their cigarette...though less impressive if it malfunctions and sets their heads on fire  :(

...where do you get these cool smileys from?
as much as I appreciate swiss craftsmanship, the swiss german accents are difficult, a simple german 'danke' (thankyou) becomes 'dan chhhhsscchh (gurgling noises) e'.

I took as many German courses in college as I could, went to German club, in an attempt to master it enough so when I went to Switzerland, I could have a much more immersed experience.

When we got there, I couldn't read some of the signs and couldn't understand 1/2 of what was said.

I was talking to a Frenchman who was fluent in English and German as well.  He said Swiss french sounded exactly like the french spoken in France.  Then I asked about Schweizer Deutsch. He said he couldn't understand 1/2 of what they were saying.  :)

...now I know where those smileys come from, I thought people ingeniously programmed new ones to fit the topic.

most germans can't understand anything of what the swiss say, but they don't have to learn the dialect, after a couple of weeks in Switzerland something just clicks. There are no major grammatical differences, just different pronounciations which obscure it.

...anyway, back to topic:...yeah SAKs, + fire  :climber:
