20th Anniversary Waves do not come up very often. I reckon this one is a bit pricey though  :o :o

It'll be interesting to see if that sells :)

Definitely becoming a rarity, but it's not the sig. version, so I think it's overpriced - let's see!

Holy snikies!  I hope it sells.  I would love it if my 25th Wave that I paid $35 for was worth nearly 10x that!

Im not sure what the going rate is for these but Ive seen one light used with sheath go for 79.00 and one new in the box go for 185.00.  I guess its how bad you want one or need for your collection. If I didnt already have one and had the money to spare, I would be tempted. :(

He's relisted it and put the price UP  ???

Seriously guys, don't, this is just the mass-produced version, not the limited edition signed version. There will be shops with them on the shelves at the $80 RRP (or whatever it was) if you're patient enough to seek them out!

Madness.

I have two of those, but still looking for the signed one.

That is way over priced by far.

Yep the seller is 'Dreaming' price has gone up when they relisted it  ??? ??? ???.

My identical one was new but in a clam shell & it cost me $100us & caused me a lot of consternation (I thought it was a bit pricey  :D :D :D).
That one seems to be priced like it is the signature version  :ahhh :ahhh

Give me a clue where to find this thread, garage sale Mk4?

Also excuse my ignorance but how do these differ from the Old Wave (which I like BTW) do they come with sheaths? Hopefully they come with a 20th anniversary "old wave" sheath ???

They come with sheaths, yes, but I don't remember what kind; I'll get back to you on that.  The only way these differ is that they have black handles that say 20th Anniversary, or something to that effect. :)  They really are quite beautiful multitools. :)

My new 20th Anniversary Wave came with a standard nylon sheath older style , not like the cool 25th Anniversary Wave's sheath.
I believe the 20th Anniversary Wave is TiNi coated & I think it is quite fetching  :D :D. Besides the TiNi coating I believe the 20th Anniversary Wave is a standard early Wave .

20th & 25th Anniversary's together.

The company line was as follows:

Quote
For 20 years, Leatherman has led the multi-tool market in sales, innovation and endurance. July 2003 is the 20th Anniversary of the invention of the Multi-Tool by Tim Leatherman. To celebrate, Leatherman introduces the 20th Anniversary Wave. This special Wave is sold in Limited Quantities, when their gone, their gone! This special tool has a Black Stainless Finish and comes with a Deluxe Nylon Sheath. The Wave has more features than any other Leatherman. It provides easy access to four locking blades from the outside of the tool. The Wave also has to most comfortable handles we've ever produced. Wave's interior is packed with seven tool blades that give you all of your favorite classic Leatherman features. The Wave even looks like it means business. From its sleek, sculpted straight knife blade, right down to the rivets, you can see the details that make the Wave so distinctive. The wave is the premier product in the Leatherman line. Order your 20th Anniversary today and own a piece of history, because when they're gone, they're history.

I thought it was some kind of DLC - but I don't know for sure :)

Can I show this pic though as we're on the subject?

There are darker ones too, and nylon ones in the same style and various shades and shapes......

I'll try and get a pic of the different ones I have in the morning.
