Hi, newbie here from Pittsburgh!
on:
June 16, 2010, 05:07:14 AM
Hi, thought I'd introduce myself. I'm from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Just moved into the city recently. I'm originally
from the 'burbs surrounding Pittsburgh. Out by Monroeville if anyone is familiar with the area.
I have had a few SAK's over the years. And I on-again, off-again carry a knife. By far and away my favorite was the Spyderco Harpy.
But alas I snapped the tip off of it doing something really, really stupid.
I have often carried a SAK, this comes from my time in the Boy Scouts. Recently I have started to carry my Cybertool 34,
I got as a birthday gift a few years back. Recently searching for some possible new toy, I ran across this forum. And wow, does
this remind me that I have always had a desire to collect SAK's.
So here I am, and I have made a few purchases already. I orders a Swisstool Spirit S and I ordered a Victorinox Workchamp. N
ow the Workchamp is for my Father for the obvious upcoming Father's Day. But now I want one.
So, aaaahhhhhh... Hello!

Thanks guys!
Sorry it took me so long to reply. Real Life and all!
MultiMat, I looked at the Leatherman's for quite a while. I kept waffling between the ST300 and the Wave. But I'm not sure I needed (at that time) that much to carry around. But I'll probably end up with a Leatherman or 2 anyway.
I did forget that I do also own a SOG Toolclip (similar to the one in the review here), but I believe that it as a small utility blade as well. I kinda misplaced it while moving and just found it recently.
