Ok, I have been taking a lot of pictures lately and can post some of them here.
This is just a small part of Oslo but it’s the heart of the city that you can see here.

I luckily had my telephoto lens with me and here you can see the highest building in Norway. It’s 117 meters high and is the highest hotel in Northern Europe.

This is the Holmenkollen ski jump and I am planning on taking a trip there next time I have a day of and snap some pics from top of the jump.

The tower on the right is the broadcasting tower Tryvannstårnet. Built in 1962 it provides radio and TV signals to the people of Oslo. On the top there is an observation platform and on a really nice day you could in fact se Sweden, but it’s sadly closed due to some fire safety law and getting the platform up to code would cost too much.

This is the Opera house in Oslo that was just finished a couple of years ago, the entire exterior is made out of marble from Italy.

A little visit to the city hall.

Inside the city hall.

This is in fact the roof.

Where the city council decide and vote over important stuff

There is always made an official painting of the king that will be hung in the city hall.
This is our king now, King Harald the 5. This painting was the nr 1 debate in Norway when it was revealed since it’s just so butt ugly, but the queen really liked the painting so nothing was done with it.

Our previous king, King Olav the 5

And our first king after we got our independence from Sweden in 1905, King Haakon the 7

Just outside from the city hall you have the Nobel peace center.

Not far from the city hall you have the National Theater where they have been putting on plays for little over 100 years

There are 2 statues in front of the building. The one on the left is the writer Henrik Ibsen

And the one on the right is Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson, a famous Norwegian poet that also wrote the lyrics for the national anthem

Just down the street you have the parliament building Stortinget.

The park in front off Stortinget

The ramp up to the main gate is “protected” by 2 lions, the lion is also a part of our coat of arms

I know that we have some members here that are Free Masons so I took a pic of the Norwegian Free Mason HQ

The building you can see at the end of the road is the royal castle and the kings residence. I haven’t gotten around in taking pics of it but I will sooner or later.

Her is a little pic of Akershus fortress, I have plenty of pictures of the place but I have a little project going on with that place and I will post it here when I am done.

The orange building was the city hall from 1641-1733

Sadly Norway is experiencing and invasion of gypsies from Romania that are all over the street begging for money. They either just sit still

or use more clever ways too trick you parting with your money

And now for just some random pictures

No this is not taken in Nederland, there is a store that sells cloths made out of hemp

For the LEO’s in here, this is the car to the officer in charge of every single cop patrolling the street.

And one for Dunc also

Last but not least. The apartment complex that I live in
