Greetings from Germany
on: June 22, 2010, 09:57:38 AM
I've been lurking around here for a while and I enjoy reading a lot. I guess now it's time to write a few words about me and start posting, too  :)

I am from Germany (if you want to know more, I am on the map), female, and was always crazy about EDC. I can remember that I carried some cord, band aids and a cheap pocket knife long before I went to school. You could make me happy with metal boxes where I could stuff all that inside. I don't know how old I was when I got my first SAK, and I can't remember what model it was, but it hat a saw, and I lost it a few years later  :ahhh Of course I was a member of the local scouts group  :D

The first thing I bought from the first money I earned when I left school was a Leatherman PST II which I still have and use.  :multi:

Just recently I discovered the Alox SAKs and fell in love with them. I don't have much money right now and can't afford a colored one (would love to have a blue or red Farmer ), but even the regular ones are great and beautiful tools. I have a Cadet, a Soldier and a Farmer and use all of them.

I am still crazy about EDC and don't leave home without a SAK and a lamp (and lots of other stuff that I think I can't live without). And I love to read and talk about all that. I guess I will have a great time here!

Yes, I believe you'll fit in nicely around here.  Thanks for quitting that nasty lurking habit and joining in the fray :D
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

And my small SAK collection... Cadet, Soldier, Farmer, Manager, Classic, Spartan, a quite old Huntsman from my Grandfather (quite abused, too) and a Huntsman lite. I forgot to add my Swisscard lite (red).

Thanks! I bought the PS II in November 1996 and payed about 50 EUR for it (99 DM) I can remember the price so well because it was about 10 EUR (20 DM) more expensive all around when I was looking for it and found this one in a shop for about 120 EUR, too, but the salesperson told me to come back on sunday where a big party was in town and all shops were open (which is not common in Germany) and they had the PS II as special offer for that day  :D

That was not too bad a price  :D :D , you are over half way through Leatherman's 25 year warranty on your PST II :D :D.

Back from a long and exciting weekend without internet...

Thanks for the warm welcome to everyone!  :)

@Fisting_Chili, the correct spelling would be Guten Morgen, but don't worry about that. We don't have a meaning for the word "Morgan", so there's no missunderstanding  :tu:

@nuphoria: I hope we can be friends even after the football game yesterday! I like watching it when I have nothing better to do, but I don't care that much about it. To be honest I missed the game because I was outside photographing breeding terns...

I should have been outside watching birds too - it was a bloody travesty!  >:(

Your team played a great game and deserved the win so I hope we'll still get on :D
