Beretta Knives
on: June 30, 2010, 02:36:41 AM
Amici,
Since the topic of Colt knives surfaced, here is another gun manufacturer turned knife line from Beretta. These were big in the early 1990's and here for your enjoyment are three, a kraton, zytel, and aluminum handled tactical folders.

The Blades are all ATS34 and were made in Nekei, Japan. These were in the
$60.00-70.00 range at the time and were also quite popular since kraton and zytel grips were new materials noted for their solid handeling.

Notice the skeletonized blades, makes you want to think especially coming from a tactical standpoint, what were they thinking?

Cheers,
Serge

I got my brother the top black knife in '91 (I think).  He still has it.  At the time one-hand opening knives were a new concept to me.

Interesting coincidence... this weekend I was cleaning out one of my closets and I found an old knife catalog from the mid-90s with these knifes.  The skeletonized Berettas are called AirLight and the non-skeletonized version is called K-Air.  A 440c version was available and cost about $40 back then.
