Well, you make enough posts there's bound to be a good one here and there! :P

That is my biggest concern with knives from companies like United and Taylor.  At least those funky fantasy sword things are likely not ever going to be used, but the more "functional" looking designs, and names suggest a hard working knife, which none of them are.

I hope everyone who is injured by those knives and tools sue the living hell out of those companies.

You do put out alot of great posts. You TK article was pretty good too.I think that what you just said is something that a Knifesmith would have to watch out for.He or she puts out a quality product, practical design, ect. The Knifesmith signs a deal with a low budget company, that puts out a shoddy product. It seems to me one or two things could happen.

1.People like me when I did not know any better buy the knife,I bought mine after seeing all the things Rambo did
with his knife, and went out and did many of the same things, short of disembowling Spetsnaz Commandos. The knife
fails at a bad moment, and someone gets hurt or injured.
2.People like me again, when I did not know any better, buy said dream knife. The knife fails horribly,I dont fault the
Manufacturer of said "UberBlade" as I should I end up faulting the Knifesmith, who at least in my opinion is not to
blame for the poor execution of a good design or concept.

Seems like either way,the Knifesmith could and probably does lose out if a collaboration goes horribly wrong. It must be a pretty fine line to walk.Take the extra income and exposure,or pass.

I agree, but a dump truck full of money is a hard thing to argue with.

Just watch how fast Multitool.org would become the United Cutlery Fan Club if the dump truck full of money showed up at my place!

Here's the dump truck I'd need, and they'd have to leave the keys too!

During my hospital stay,I got to watch Mythbusters. A couple of episodes,n Jamie Hyeman was using his LM Wave/Charger in fixing Buster :multi:
