Proof I carry too much...

Digging around in my carry-all bags (yeah, have more than one) for something or other, and found these...  Yes, a matched pair of CRKT Snap-Locks.  As I said, I'm a sucker for a Wharncliffe...

They're cool, they're innovative, and I like them, but not as much as say the new Kershaws (the Leek & Chive).  The mechanism is clumsy to me.  I really should switch the clip over to facilitate me using it with my left hand, but just haven't done it.  (That takes effort...  )

And then there's this...

My Gerber Aluminum Presto 3.0.  This I rather like, save for two things:  The combo blade (I prefer a plain), and the width of the handle (nice if you have to use it for a long time, but a noticable to carry).  Still, a great little knock around knife.  I keep it's newly acquired little brother in the car (along with a mini-Paraframe).

I like the snaplock design but the steel they use left me wanting more. Made out of AUS4 and a very thick blade gave me some issues with it staying sharp for long. This knife is more of like a Sunday knife for me and definitely not up the task of EDC, course that's just me.

I really don't have much trouble with them, for what I use them for, which is just general carry knives.  (And they obviously doesn't get much carry.  The smaller SnapLock II gets carried more often than not.)  If I know I'm going to be doing some heavy duty cutting, I'll grab my SOG Flash II, or (if total overkill is needed) the CS Pocket Bushman.  (Had that monster out the other day, cutting some brush on a spur of the moment.)
