Hi,
I posted this in the Mod Squad forum section but I try here also.
Anyone knows how to get hold of a replacement spring for a LM Wave (2nd gen) such as this:
[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]
LM won't sell me one and won't repair, only replace the whole tool to something else... If possible I'd like not to get an entire handle.
Thanks!

The entire handle route may be the way you have to go  if nothing else you could remove it from the other handle and install it in yours :salute:

The only thing is, is the spring is riveted in :dunno:

I do hope you find one though and good luck with the repair :salute:

Also, welcome to :MTO:  :woohoo:

Thanks @Poncho65!

I was afraid of that ;)

The rivet came out by itself (probably fatigue) and the spring was then damaged beyond repair as a consequence when it came loose. An M2.5mm dome head hex screw + nyloc nut will do fine. Or I'll just pop a new stainless steel rivet in there.

Many thanks!

So the Rebar has brown, the Bond will soon have various colors, does the Wave ever get released with colors?

I believe there is an orange version that was sold years ago

I have seen that one, I have also seen a brown. I wonder why they don't do more. Maybe in the future...

There was also a blue version  usually other companies/retailers have these made and sell exclusively. :tu:

It was similar with the G10 Charges, different retailers had their own ones

I could send you a wave handle if you want to scavenge that piece. I think I have some with engravings that will be hard to sell on eBay. I’m not sure what rivet it will take but I’ll see if I can figure it out and send that too. I run a hardware business and have been turning Leatherman’s into a little side gig on eBay.

I’ve always wanted to try and replace that rivet with something compatible with mounting the signals sharpener. I saw someone do it on a wave once so I know it can be done
