fisherman needle nose

ok so i have had my 650 for a while and something is bugging me. what are the three notches of different size for i cant think of what they would be used for. please help!

I'm assuming for holding hooks

and did you mean Gerber MP600 Fisherman?

I had to dig this up...but a few web sites claim they are for "fishing line splicing band crimpers (three sizes)". I suppose you can use them for whatever you need and will fit at the time.

It is a feature seen on all of Gerber's fishing centric pliers heads (MP600 Fisherman, MP400 Fisherman, Flik Fisherman, and the Evolution 650 with correct head).

Those are for crimp sleeves used to make steel leaders.
