Since I moved house a about a year ago opportunities for shooting my air rifles have been few and far between. I recently got a £20 spring airsoft pistol and have been using it in the spare room - it's been great fun

. Much easier to set up a safe back stop and it's nice to have a repeater for a change.
Now I'm looking at better guns, eventually probably both a rifle and another pistol. I only really want them for target shooting at five or six yards and I'd like something as accurate as possible at that sort of range so that when I miss I know it's down to me.
I was thinking about a Tokyo Marui Spring sniper rifle like a VSR10 or an L96, can any one tell me if their short range accuracy would be noticeably better than and automatic electric rifle or suggest any alternatives?
I'd also be very interested to know how the group sizes of the good quality airsoft guns compares with normal airguns, at very short range.
