Wood scaled Waiter?
on: August 14, 2010, 04:58:28 AM
Does anyone know if Victorinox made a wood scaled waiter model?  It appears the scales on this are black dyed wood.

Also, the combo tool looks a little odd, compared to say the Bantam below.

What do the experts have to say? ???

Don't quote me, but your combo tool looks as if it's a generation... 2? combo tool.  Although SAAM's 91mm tool changes list still doesn't yet have the evolution of that tool, there have been three generations of combo tool since it's introduction.  As for a wooden-scaled Waiter, I honestly don't know, though I do very much like the look of yours. :)

Like Sazabi mentioned its just an older design of tool.  As to the scales, most likely custom made by removing the shield as a plug from a cellidor model and cutting it into the wood.  Looks to have been nicely done :tu:
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.
