Clearance @ Target

Target has their Vic Cadets for 12 bucks and depending where you are the Vic Trekker for between 17 (Minnesota last week) and 24 bucks (Texas today).

I snagged a green and a red alox in the last couple of days. Not a fan of the silver though.

They also have some Eddie Bauer multis on clearance like half off and a lot of their camping supplies too.

Unfortunately my Target's only carry them in silver.  I picked up the last red one in the two Targets nearby.  The sad thing is this likely means that Target will no longer sell the Cadet.  I hope they continue to sell some cool Victorinox stuff.  Maybe they could sell something like the Waiter or Bantam.  That would be reasonable.

They may also just be doing clearance so they can bring in the new, more eco-friendly, packages.  I do hope Target continues carrying them, though, especially the Target-exclusive, hunter green Cadet. :/

I'd pick up a Hunter Green if they had it in stock.  I have never seen one in a store near here.  Apparently no one buys the silver and they don't plan to restock until the silver sells out or something.

yeah the silver is kinda bleah....all the Targets close to me are sold out of the colours leaving only silver.

I have some errands to run this coming week that will take me by probably 3-5 Targets.  I will check them all and buy up what remaining stock they have in green.  Then I'll sell or trade them away.

I just picked up 3 silver Cadets for $8.58 each and 2 micras for $9.44 each.  I went to another Target and they were $12 and $13 respectively.

I think a lot of the time, it depends on what area the Target is located; in Raleigh, for example, Targets and Big Lots! stores are a couple dollars more expensive on a lot of tools when compared to other areas.

Most stores like these do price discriminate (that is, prices are different based on location).

Also, for Target, atleast, I believe corporate decides what items go and then the store managers slash at it aggressively until it's done, so it's not going to be even across the board.

I agree and feel bad that I did not buy it.  If I am near the store this weekend I'll run by to see if it's still there.

I also found that Academy Sports has a Victorinox combo with the black LED flashlight and camper knife marked 1/2 off for about $15.

I just picked up 3 silver Cadets for $8.58 each ...

I wanted a silver alox Cadet and was pleased to find 2 silver Cadets for $8.58 each today at a Target store I hadn't visited in a while.  There were no Cadets at the other Target stores I checked.

Back! I went to 2 other Targets today - neither of them had a single Cadet. Then I went back to the previous one and picked myself a silver and red.

So yeah, if you guys want silvers and reds... I can't pick anything up for two weeks so you're probably out of luck. But I have 4 Hunter Green Cadets here if aaaaaanyone's looking for 'em.
