A thumbstud should be easy to fit on that seeing how the holes are already there

When I first started with Project Style CS, I contemplated installing a thumbstud on the stock blade and even did test fits, etc. For me personally, it was too close to the blade edge for me to comfortably open it quickly without slicing off my fingerprint. Could be I just have some fatass fingers lol. Anyway, I had extra blade steel, I wanted the shape to match the Skeletool and saw it not only as a way to fabricate an even longer blade, but also as a way to bring the thumbstud up and away from the blade edge. On that note... I have a brand new Stlye CS blade I'll trade for Style CS tweezers if anyone's willing. I lost mine on my road adventure to the east coast.....

I hope the mod works. Thinking about trying it myself if it works. If you have to do any grinding or cutting to make it work please lets us know what was required when you do the mod. Thanks.

I'm hoping your ps4 has pivots and not rivets. Look forward to any and all mods with lots of pics.

I see them there, but not sure if I remember them having the size small enough to fit the ps4 or stye cs. If you can find the mini bit drivers which they have near the checkouts you may be able to get the size you need in a kit cheap.

I was asked more or less the same question back when I started Project Style CS and about five times since this post has brought the Style CS to the foreground again as to whether or not I could add pliers, for me or them, and if so why haven't I, etc. So, I thought I would address this here. The pliers mod is very straightforward and easily done actually. Should anyone want the mod done, I will gladly do so if they are willing to wait until my workload lightens so I can afford the spare time in which to do so. As to the question why haven't I? The answer is quite simple. When I started Project Style CS, I did so as a compliment to my Skeletool, not a replacement or mini version. I carried both as a working pair. If you read the posts way back when I started that project, the goal was to bring the Style CS up to par with the Micra which I had been EDCing for years, in hopes of replacing it. I made mention that with exception of a large flat driver, the two had the same tools. An issue that was going to be addressed in the second layer where the new scale is going to go. It was the fact that the Style CS
had
scissors that made me want it to use as a base for Micra replacement. While I know small pliers can be useful for certain small tasks, I personally view them as glorified tweezers, which I am totally not against either. No matter how well designed, their physical size limits their usefulness, for me anyway. I personally carry a swiss+tech 8-in-1. I ground the tips to mate perfectly. While they are "pliers", I don't see them as such, I see them as a kick-ass set of tweezers. If you want small rock solid pliers, the swiss+tech is hard to beat, if you ask me. Anyway, I hope his helps and addressed some of the questions I have been being asked.....

So do you use your Style CS, evil? Have you ever considered any of the Squirt models?

Hey Andreas. Yes, I use it almost daily. Even having not completed the second layer yet of the Stlye CS, I carry either it or the Micra daily on my keychain... regardless of which full size multitool I have chosen to carry for that day. I kinda put the Stlye CS on the backburner since I lost the tweezers not too long ago when I took a road trip out on the east coast. I'll need to get a hold of another set. Honestly, I have yet to really even given the squirt line-up a good look at and couldn't tell you the difference between one model or another. All of my tool needs have more or less been met at the moment. I hear they've switched to screws as opposed to rivets, which is a good thing for the masses as they can now more readily mod them to their liking.....

Agent X68, you didn't order a black ps4 did you? It seems for now anyway that those are the ones that come with rivets instead of pivot screws.

I bought a red one just to be safe. It seems that the rivets are on blue and black for now.

Agent X68 your mission if you choose to accept it is to create the worlds first mini-skeletool. It will not be easy as enemy agents my try to hide you torx drivers. When completed this mission will need verification of completion, so please provide lots of pictures.

Tsquare that is funny. I plan to build a knifeless version with PS4 pliers, PS4 scissors (In place of knife), stock caribiner, and stock nail file and tweezers.
Also, did anyone notice the fact that the style cs has two torx and two rivets? That means that the components are only swappable, you can't dismantle the tool.
(bottom two are rivets)

My plan is Style CS with P4 pliers, Style scissors instead of nail file, and stock blade with thumbstud.

You would have to modify the scissors and sacrifice the tweezers to it in there, because the scissors are too big.

I have confidence in all of you that you will come up with something great. I only want to change the scissors for pliers, other than that it is good for my purposes as it is.
