Oh yah. The channel looks like a hockey stick with the blade side facing towards the opening and facing down.

How to tell when a Canadian is trying to describe something...

Because it's the best way to describe it. :P

How else would it look like? A field hockey stick? c'mon!

Also, we ARE the best at hockey.

Now we all know the Americans are best at hockey. Lol

I figured I would get that response. Lol. I love smurfing with people. Hehe :p
Besides I like rugby better but it's hard for people here to play that game. They keep thinking it's football and try to go in formation. Idiots. No one wants to play it, they say its too hard or where's the pads? What a bunch if smurfs.

I know! I played in a mens league for a couple of years, Right flanker. It was tough to keep up with the bruises and breaks

rugby is a game I (and many other British kids) was made to play at school, normally in the dead of winter for some sadistic reason. ::)  Any of you that have seen pics of me might have noticed that I'm not exactly built to play as a prop, so I was normally out as a winger.  TBH a game I take much more pleasure in watching rather than playing. :D

Michael Ryder dropped the cup when he had it.  The rim of the cup is now dented. :(

Staying on topic, I'm going to buy one of these machinist's chest but I wish there was a Princess Auto in Toronto.  The nearest locations to me are either the Newmarket or Mississauga locations but even those are pretty far from me.  I guess it would be easier to have it delivered.

If you are going, call ahead.

There was only one pallet here in Calgary. A pallet seems like a lot, but there were only 8 or so per pallet.

So on to the build. I will start by saying the first one is mine. 1700s mohagany with solid hardwood plywood drawers. The two bottom drawers will have roller slides. The top ones will have oak slides. I will keep this posted as I build it. So far I have the blanks cut from 1inch boards and need to plane them down.
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

What kind of hinges does the chest have? Inside or outside?

Just small one on the outside. I imagine piano hinges inset would be stronger. There are also metal corner protectors.
