Hello to everyone. I need owners of the ES4 to inform me if this is the quality of the wire cutters.
Mine has this angled oval shape where it should be a perfect circles.
For me the tool is useless because was bought only for the wire cutters and as i work a lot with electronics i use the smallest holes in the cutters witch are the worst in the tool.
Thank you for any info you provide.

Decided to look closer... "yes" the openings are oval, but functions ok.  If the wire+jacket is not the right size you might need to be creative.

Dang... I need to get one of those PS4s soon. The Squirt is a pattern that I would love to EDC next to a nice SAK ... and I would be set up for the day...

Maybe have a look at the Bear & Son Electrician model ?  (or if you want a much larger tool try to find a Paladin PT-540)

The Squirt saved me today when I realized that I forgot the paint can opener after a 35 minute drive to the boat. My Squirt opened both cans for the epoxi primer.

I'm planning on getting the Squirt but kind of holding back because of what I read about the scissors breaking easily.
Did LM made improvements on the scissors lately?

Here's my PS4. And a group pic with its cousins. The Squirt and the black Micra take turns as my fifth-pocket EDC mini tools.

I'm a fan of the old ones as well. Going from P4 to PS4 we lost the tiny awl.

Had this ES4 for a while and forgot about it. Going to try it out tomorrow and see how it works. Goes well with a solitaire it seems. I like anodized blue.

I am joining the ES4/PS4 club, but just with my ES4...for now. :)

I have a PS4 and a P4 but the PS4 scissors spring broke just yesterday clipping off a Christmas gift tag. The scissors are the most used tool so it was bound to happen someday.

I submitted a warranty claim and will send it back to Tim. Carrying a Vic Huntsman now.

Ouch - spring arm broken... good luck getting it replaced, should not normally be a problem.

My sister found the bit, it sailed off and I heard it hit the wall next to a rolling cart in the kitchen. I had given up finding but she came through!

Not that they need it to see it was broken but maybe they can learn something from how it came apart.

Trust me, LM already know, unfortunately it is quite a common fault on the small Squirt scissors, and seems to happen even if they are hardly used.

I bought it used and use the scissors regularly. Oh well, I thought it might be of interest, metallurgically speaking. I just received a Style PS for myself as we will be flying soon but carrying that today. Nice little tool and so light weight.
