Has anyone that said they were thinking of getting one taken the plunge yet?  Any thoughts?

I haven't carried another folder since it arrived.  At home for four days now though so the law doesn't matter.  Bring on the lockers  >:D

Asides from the bulkiness, I'm quite liking it :)

It is bulky, but that just makes it easier to use for me.

Loving the friction folder method.  Feels a lot safer than slippies.

Oh it's definitely a lot safer in use, and I'm a lot more comfortable using this hard than I would say a sak :)

Nah I'm liking the green, and am even thinking of getting one for my boy when he's old enough as his first knife, as it's a lot safe than a MFV to use :)

I just received an orange and a green for two MTO members, whom may or may not identify themselves at some point.

Ben, your review is right on.  They are a very simple, useful, hardworking knives.  While I haven't sharpened or cut with either of the two here, I have held and examined both.

I was particularly impressed with the feel.  The knife fits well in the hand and has good balance.  I can envision the Peasant Knife being very useful in the garden for nipping off okra or wilted flower tips, possibly some light pruning. The orange would seem to be a nifty woods knife for the hunter or hiker, definitely easy to find if dropped or laid aside.

At last check, my supplier had all the colors and the wooden handled version in stock.  Anyone looking for a source can PM me and I will reply with pricing and availability.

An inexpensive, quality, simple pocket knife.  What's not to love?  I may have to pick up a wooden handled version.  Just what I needed, another way to spend money I don't have.

Thanks for the review man, never heard of these before today.

Well you almost made me get one, but after some consideration I decided against it,, just don't see when I'll ever use it, given it's bulkiness.

Although bulky, due to it's banana shape, it is actually more comfortable than most folders to carry.  It is also very light, so half the time I don't even know it's there.  The bulkiness just adds to the comfort when in use.

I feel a bit guilty now  :-[
I ordered a wood handled Svord  peasant knife for a friend that wants a legal cheap user,
I told him that when they come they need a bit of work to make them nice (like my one is now)
Maybe this slipped by QC, To be honest if this had turned up and I was expecting something I could use straight out of the packet I would have been disappointed
The handles were more than a bit rough and the edges of each side were not symmetrical
The guilt comes in because I have encouraged people on here to buy one and also because I don't feel I am being loyal to a make of knife that I really like
So the fact that the knife needs a bit of work to make it nice does not bother me but this is more a warning to people not to expect a well finished knife but you will get a knife that with a bit of work will turn in to something very usable
I hope I am not putting too many people off  by what I have written as its really just to balance all the praise I have given this knife in the past

I'm pretty sure most of us recommended the plastic handled ones. :D :tu:
