I must be an Old Fart...because I got really excited when I spotted this at the Grocery store...

Its been around for a year or so, I'm the assistant manager of a local chain. Is good but not something for dew junkies, the flavor is pretty different.

What do they make the regular stuff out of then? Corn syrup?

Yes, most current sodas are made with corn syrup. Around here we can also get Coca-Cola bottled in Mexico...still made with cane sugar.

Sometimes I'll stop by a Mexican food store and pick a few up. It's definitely better. But as far as Mountain Dew, It's ok but I've always preferred Mello Yello.

Nope, usually sugar or fructose. I think it's because you grow an enormous amount of corn in the US.

Actually, as an old time Dew Junkie I can honestly say I perfer the throwback Dew. Side by side I find the throwback more "crisp" and less "thick". Even though I don't drink soda nearly as much as I used to, in an attempt to lose weight, I do still go out of my way to grab a throwback Dew when I do want one.
