Anyone get their EDC swap stuff yet?
on: August 17, 2007, 09:21:50 PM
Looked like we had a heck of a flurry of trades go on last weekend and I was just wondering whether or not folks got their items, what they thought of them and whether or not they liked the idea of the EDC swap, and if there are any changes or tweaks to the idea we should make so that it runs smoother in the future.

Anyone got any comments?

I haven't received my item yet from Eodtech, but I wasn't counting on it arriving until Saturday at the earliest.  When I sent off an item to Spoonrobot, the local Postal geniuses told me that it would take three to five days for delivery.  Did the other forum have a set system for shipping: like the giver had to spend a minimum amount on postage, etc.?  You also have to consider international shipping too.

I got my wallet, mini flashlight and a freebie SAK yesterday from "PSUL71" - nice stuff, I got a really good deal....thanx

Today I got my watch from Australia ( trade deal on G-Forces.org ) it took 8 days via Air Parcel Post.

The SAK I sent to PAPACAT on Monday the 13th ( coast to coast - probably delivery on Saturday or Monday)

Look'n good so far Def....

I got a couple more things to offer up once things get rolling again.

If the current offering doesn't have any takers in a weeks time I would suggest that the item(s) being offered be replaced with some newer meat, that may be more appealing to the subscribers to multitool.org, just my 3 cents.

As an International guy myself, I am quite well aware of that one!  :P

I was just looking forward to seeing what folks were thinking of their new toys if they arrived yet... I know it sounds weird, but I'm kind of excited for everyone!

My Gerber 800 from Papacat today and WOW!

I really like it! It's going with me to work tomorrow and the forseeable future.

I did seem to kill the thread with the items I posted though, if no one wants them or objects I shall hunt around my secret stash when I head to Atlanta this week and see if I can't find some more interesting items.

It's still a wonderful idea though, I just wish I had more interesting items to offer *slides Buck 360 under the couch*.  >:D

I am actually very much interested in that Gerber Freehand and I can't believe no one else has snapped it up yet!

I got my Juice CS4 in the mail the other day. I really like it :D . Now I want to pick up a KF4. The Juice models are a really solid smaller multi tool. Makes me wish I had picked one up years ago!

Thanks again,
psul71

You won't be disapointed in the KF4! LM's decision to discontinue it on the other hand...  :D

WOO HOO!  The One-Hand Parachutist arrived today from EODtech.  Everything is going according to plan...I don't know whose plan though.  Now I need to get my hands on a One-Hand Trekker and then I can drive my wife crazy with my collection.  Mwuhahahahahahahahaha etc.   :D

-Mike.

Glad to hear that the Wenger arrived. I really liked the PTC, but the Wenger just couldn't replace my Vic Rambler on my keychain.

Take Care,

According to Fedex, Papacat's "Q" should have arrived yesterday, I got his MP600 today, it's in great shape, looks basically new, nice, solid little multitool

I'll be shipping out Hawkchucker's Co-Pilot today after work

Sorry to be slow to respond; my work has been busier than usual over the past couple of weeks.  I received the Spyderco Q and I love it.  I will post a couple of new things in the EDC swap hopefully by tonight.
