We are getting colder and colder here (but actually fairly warm for this time of year here) and I don't envy you at all with the hot weather

Great pic and stay cool, Echo :salute: :like:

What's up folks! Just got me a real beat up juice pro. I'm fascinated by these things. I kinda want to take it apart and build myself a custom kf4 with scissors instead of 2 blades. I also think a juice ss3 would be sweet. Like the b2, but with scissors and a saw.

I know the pro is rare so I'm wondering if I would be doing a disservice taking it apart?

I will try and post some pictures but I was having trouble earlier uploading them.

I do miss the rise and fall of the Juice lineup. They don't get the love they once received and deserved, but their spirit lives on in the hearts and minds of those who once called them friends.

Welcome to :MTO:  Awanderingponder :salute:

The Pro is rare but with the shape of the one you have, I wouldn't feel bad at all about stripping it down, cleaning it and repurposing it :salute: :like:

If you do, please let us know how it goes  and take lots of pics :woohoo: :like:

A KF4 with scissors would have been almost perfection for an edc MT  :like: :like:

Thanks! I found stud sets on Etsy that are bronze. Seems pretty doable.  Gotta replace a spring. I have a question.. are the three small springs that hold the flat screwdrivers all the same size?like there's just big and little with a nub and big and little without.  Im not sure if I will have clearance issues if I try and swap a single spring.

You could make one with no tools and have a secondary folding pliers that's super light. Maybe just with the screwdrivers.

Thanks Poncho :tu:
Cicada

The noise early evening is incredible,
Cockatoos and lorikeets squawking, kookaburras laughing, insects buzzing, frogs croaking and then the cicadas….cant hear the tv

I love it the sound of summer :)

Same here :iagree:

You most likely already know that it’s some brilliant mathematical answer nature has come up with to stop Cicada species from having to share food

Apparently it can be hundreds, even thousands of years between the same two species appearing at the same time, mind blowing really

Where I am in Sydney we get plenty of grasshoppers but not locusts thankfully, they do get them out west in the agricultural areas

Here's some pics
on this forum you'll find plenty of juice mod threads or might have to wander to the mod forum possibly. but the pictures will all be gone from the photobucket fiasco.
the problem you will find for taking them apart is the rivets. The way it is constructed one fits inside the other and then they are peened/crushed into each other so drilling/grinding is needed which usually ruins the scales.
So you'll need to have a way to create new ones.
The tools themselves are similar sized but the springs for the scissor are split into 2 thinner springs and the spring for the serrated or plain edge are both 1 thicker spring.  so you can't just move the scissor to the spot for the serrrated you have to move the springs also.

I have a new-to-me Juice S2 in route.  I don't recall this leather sheath being offered with the Juice.
Could it have come with it originally, or do you think it was a separate purchase.  Thank you for any insight.  :hatsoff:

Rest in peace ColoSwiss, you will always be remembered.

Very nice find, FB!

I'm thinking it was a separate purchase, but I am not positve.

I don't recall seeing a Juice with a leather sheath  either. :)

I didn't get a sheath with mine and not even sure it was an option (otherwise I'd have ordered it) )

I just have this one;

That is a PST or PST II sheath

The Juice models actually had 2 different sheaths at least, a polycarbonate one that was clear and a black fake leatherette type with a clip and velcro closure like the one in Surges link :tu:

I have the second type but not the first one

Thank you Vicman and SurgeUK.  :hatsoff:

You are more than welcome  :hatsoff:

It does make it VERY bulky to wear but does its job well enough  :dunno:

As Poncho says it is "leatherette" (plastic) and a slimline leather/cordura one would be preferable
They don't like it up 'em!
