I gave my used Climber a bath
on: November 13, 2010, 03:08:15 PM
Not so long ago, I traded for some SAKs here on the forum, one of which was a nice used Climber.  After tossing out the LM Juice as an EDC because of its heavyness and lack of pocket clip, I remembered why I wanted the Climber in the first place.  It has some of the exact main implements I desire in an EDC.  So yesterday, I gave it a bath in warm soap & water and it turned out sparkly clean and ready for action.  The scales show scuffs and scratches from being carried and but I welcome the character.  It's a beautiful SAK and I hardly notice it in my pocket  :D  Thanks to the "bonding" experience of cleaning it up and already finding quite a few tasks for it, I have been bitten big time by the Swiss bug  >:D

All the finest people love a SAK, especially a Climber.  :climber:
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

I'm a hugh fan of the climber (and its cousin / brother the super tinker (climber with philips instead of corkscrew). For me it has just the right amount of tools for everyday carry without been silly weight wise or unused tool size, or can be classed as offensive. Just ordered another one with dark blue handles for a weekend / evening carry. Hopefully will be waiting for me at work on mon.

I think Gareth realised his monumental blunder and edited his post to state it was really a Farmer that was the object of his deepest seated desire

We all know he's a true worshiper of the saw really :D

The saw is awesome and you can always upgrade to the Huntsman (another favorite of mine) for that purpose  :tu:
