SS Glue info
on: November 23, 2010, 06:43:35 PM
I am thinking of doing a MOD, but to succeed I need a strong glue that will be able to glue two Stainless steel surfaces against each other.
Is it possible. I do not want to drill holes in the multitool as it will make the warranty invalid.
Regards
Johan

Sounds like a 2 part epoxy would suit your needs.

Two part epoxy (J-B Weld) works real almost to good if you were to change your mind you might have a hard time getting it apart. If you are mounting something like a pocket clip clear silicone or double faced foam works good on clean surfaces.

  • When in doubt, use a bigger hammer.

If it's going to be absolutely permanent, a strong epoxy glue is your best bet.

As said already I would use some kind of epoxy glue  :tu:
Make sure the surfaces are clean (I use IPA Isopropyl Alcohol)
If you keep it somewhere warm it will cure faster and warming will help if you want to get the bits apart in the future  :salute:
Everything’s adjustable
