I use it to post all of my pictures here (and other forums) but my favorite thing is being able to take a picture with my phone and save it directly to my shared folder.

Now I never have to hook my phone up to my PC just to transfer a picture over. It's automagically on my desktop.

I've been using Dropbox for about a year now- it's great.  I have one folder set up to share with Micah and Esteban for site stuff, another set up to share with my wife, and another one set up with the guys at my day job for sharing photos I take on site.  I have my account set up to link my netbook, desktop and laptop, so if I need something, I have it everywhere.

I've used a lot of different sync services and Dropbox is the best, hands down.  The second best is InSync.

You can get really creative with DB. (as you have!)

I have media centers in three different rooms at my house and another at my summer house. All I need to do is drop a file in the folder and then when I go up to my summer place it's already indexed and ready to play.  Love it!

Oh, it's great.  Once you get start using it and getting used to it is really hard to live without it. Especially if you use multiple PC's / devices.

Once you've installed it I suggest crusing through the tutorial real fast. There are some really neat features to be taken advantage of. (such as the automatically generated photo albums!)

And the best part is.... It's 100% free!!!

My two favorite things with Dropbox (so far) are the public gallery links and the functionality it adds to my Android device.

With the Android (and presumably the Iphone) you can select any file (such as a recently taken picture) and send it directly to Dropbox. (no more stinkin' USB cables!)

And the automatic public gallery is wonderful.  This is just a directory sitting in my Dropbox folder. All I did was right click on it and select "copy public gallery link" and here it is:
