No way it's G10, that guy's credibility went down the crapper right after he claimed G10 is 10 times stronger than aluminum (that must be why it's called G10, right? ). From the way the piece look it's just molded piece of plastic with some texture. Besides Gerber isn't exactly known for high end material.
That would be a lot of fancy machining for G10, coming from a company that known to use cheapest material around I won't believe it till I see it.
I wouldn't have thought G10 to be a particularly valuable material... I admit some knives are much more attractive with G10 than say Zytel.
