NitIze Pock-Its XL Copy?
on: December 14, 2010, 04:53:37 PM
I have been hunting all available links for the NiteIze pouches when I came across this link:

http://www.packrat.co.za/CatDsplItem.aspx?CatalogueItemID=250&CatalogueItemDocumentID=1837&DocumentID=1947&type=&Search=#

It looks exactly the same than the NiteIze Pock-Its XL.

Only a sixth of the price.

I made a further search and came upon the maker's address:
http://www.trailite.de/en_multi_purpose_holster.html

Now I would like to know which one is the best quality.

I thought there were copy rights, or is it only applicable to the brand label?

Without trying one I have no idea what is the best quality, but I do know that Bob stands behind all his sheaths with a lifetime warranty, and that's well worth the money.

Copyrights and patents are only useful if you have the money to spend on a giant lawsuit, complicated by crossing borders.  Given the choice, I think I'd stick with Pockits.

Yep, and the one I have seems to be good quality.

No, actually here in ZA they are relative expensive.

I have now ordered the multipocket pouch (NMP-03-01) from E-Bay and after shipping and customs tax it is still cheaper than locally.
