Alox... Are we missing something?

We all know we have been spoiled with the recent limited editions alox . The info about each piece circulate very well between members of MT.O and other forums. We are all aware of the new pieces.
Or are we?
Do you think it is possible that some very special knives have been produced without anybody of this forum knowing?

With the average monthly numbers that Victorinox and Wenger spit out, I have no doubt that some things may go unnoticed.  The Cheese Knife was distributed for some time (I think) before we got wind of it, and some of the fancy Japanase/Asian market SAKs are underrepresented here.  I would imagine the potential for us missing other things is quite substantial.

We do our best, and with the international following we have both here and in SOSAK at Knifeforums.com I think we do pretty darned good.

I am confident we have pretty much everything covered thanks to these two great forums.  :salute:
But is Victorinox publishing the list of all the knives they produce for the different clubs and dealers?

Unfortunately there is no such list. A while ago I had asked Victorinox to get informations about special runs (for dealers etc.) or about knives with advertising, but they replied it is not possible to get a list like that. They simply produce too many of these runs to keep everybody informed.
I guess most of these runs are just standard models with advertising. But if, for example, a dealer somewhere in the world would order a nice special knife in Ibach none of us would know unless the dealer himself shows it to the public (or a forum member discovers it and posts it here).

We here at the Forum generally do catch news of all officially released SAK's.

Sometimes it's not immediately at the time of release (some of us have lives) , but as stated above, this is an almost unparalleled source for information on new release SAK's.

The membership here is truly international, so the readers do cover every region of the globe.
