So many Queens-landers homes got completely trashed with everything having to be thrown out.
The clean up / rebuilding is going too take months/years.
You think that was bad? A few years ago a small town in Newfoundland was flooded when a levee was opened. The flood waters were about 4 feet deep, and covered pretty well the whole town. The problem was, this was done in the middle of winter, and it's pretty darned cold in Newfoundland in the winter. The water froze solid- all of it, from the ground up.
