I know the
Hive

I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

Just curious. Have you ever found suitable pin stock in other materials?

Nothing specificly. Have yet to peen my first rivet, but just wondering since Vic uses other materials.
Ps... Your mod service sounds wonderful... exceptional for those in the UK. If only I could decide what I want, that would work. Was hoping those last Scibeer HA knives would appear as I think they would make nice starting points. Maybe I missed them.

I've used nickel before. I know that on some 93mm SAKs steel has been used for the centre pin, I assume because its cheaper rather than any strength benefit.
I wasn't aware of the last of Bill's mods being released. Unless they went to Tim and straight out

Ya I was thinking the steel was used because it didn need the self lubricating properties of brass, but I'm not really sure. I figured the nickle silver was used for strength and maybe looks as well. Just wondering really. Thanks.

Neil, I don't suppose you will be selling any parts like blades and such for mods will you?

Probably not. Blades in good condition are normally on good condition knives and so it makes little sense for me to pull them apart to sell seperate as I'd have to charge pretty much what I'd charge for the whole knife
That said if you need used blades to practise with or create unusual profiles etc. drop me a PM and I'll see what I can do. I don't tend to throw anything away so I have grades of used blades
