Poor Beagle!
on: February 03, 2011, 04:18:18 AM
My wife's beagle (Montgomery) had to have one of its toes removed Monday as he had a suspect lump (cancerous?) on it and a lump on his hind quarters. He has been limping quite a bit this week but is on the mend. Vet says he will have a limp for the rest of his days as the missing digit was load bearing. At almost 11 years old he sleeps a lot of the day away..snoozing under the covers on the bed.

He's staying at my wifes sister's house since she doesn't have 3 flights of stairs like we do :P

My beagle has been moping around the house waiting for the other to return. ::)

Poor critter.  She may walk funny but I'm sure she'll get along good enough without that toe- animals bounce back from these things better than we do!

My old husky is almost 13 now, and I am glad to say that he's got no serious problems.  He takes a thyroid pill every day but other than that he's still going strong.

Poor fella those collars are no fun either , not speaking from personnel experience  :P :D but my pup Kipper hated the plastic collar he had too wear post knacker removal.

Hope he gets better quick & is running up all those stairs soon  :D

Poor baby :(

It's tough seeing them in pain - unlike people they don't tend to whine on about it, just look sorry for themselves.
